Two distinct phases of chloroplast biogenesis during de-etiolation in Arabidopsis thaliana

Abstract: Light triggers chloroplast differentiation whereby the etioplast transforms into a photosynthesizing chloroplast and the thylakoid rapidly emerges. However, the sequence of events during chloroplast differentiation remains poorly understood.
