Two New Prenylated Glycine Derivatives from the Marine‐Derived Fungus Fusarium sp. TW56‐10

Abstract: Two new prenylated glycine derivatives N‐({4‐[(3‐methylbut‐2‐en‐1‐yl)oxy]phenyl}acetyl)glycine (1) and methyl N‐({4‐[(3‐methylbut‐2‐en‐1‐yl)oxy]phenyl}acetyl)glycinate (2), along with nine known compounds (3‐11) were purified from the marine‐derived fungus Fusarium sp. TW56‐10. Their chemical structures were determined by spectroscopic evidence, including extensive nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), high‐resolution electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy (HR‐ESI‐MS) data, infrared radiation (IR) and Ultraviol… Show more

“…199) and prenylated glycine derivatives 577 and 578 . 200 The macrolides halosmysins B 579 and C 580 were isolated from a Halosphaeriaceae strain, 201 cerebrosides 581 and 582 were obtained from Hortaea werneckii 202 and Lecanicillium fusisporum was the source of 3-acyl tetramic acid derivatives 583 – 589 . 203 Culture of Leptosphaerulina chartarum derived from deep-sea sediment yielded the enantiomeric hydroxybenzyl dimers leptochartamides A 590 / 591 and B 592 / 593 , which contain a dioxa-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane core.…”

“…Trichodermiol A, 8- O -methylfusarubin, 3- iso -butylpyrrolopiperazine-1,4-dione, 3-phenyllactic acid methyl ester, (2 S )-(4-hydroxyphenyl)lactic acid N -(2-(1 H -indole-3-yl)ethylacetamide, indole-3-methylethanoate, (1 H -indol-3-yl)acetic acid ethyl ester and (9 Z ,12 Z )- N -(2-hydroxyethyl)-9,12-octadecadienamide were also obtained from the same fungus. Fusarine ( 259 ) and all the other compounds, except fusarinated ( 260 ) due to its low amount, were tested for their cytotoxicity towards A549 cell lines and 8- O -methylfusarubin showed totoxicity (IC 50 value of 11.45 μM) [ 130 ].…”
