Two new records of jumping plant lice (Hemiptera: Triozidae) from Syria

Abstract: The psyllid fauna of the Eastern Mediterranean is less studied than that of Southern Europe (Ouvrard, 2020). From Lebanon 34 species are reported (Zeidan-Gèze & Burckhardt, 1998) and prior to the present records only 10 species were known in Syria (Zeity, 2018; Zeity and Mof leh, 2020) whereas from Italy, for example, almost 200 species are reported (Conci et al., 1996).Psyllids are generally host-specific phloem feeders, some of which are pests in agriculture or forestry but they are also found on ornamental … Show more
