Abstract:Cells with cytologic and immunohistochemical features of Leydig cells are normally present in the ovary and the ovarian hilum, are testosterone-producing, and have been referred to as ovarian hilus cells. Rarely these cells form nests or nodules in extraovarian sites such as the mesovarium or mesosalpinx.
