Abstract: Two types of asymmetric switched-capacitor five-level single-phase DC-AC inverters are presented based on the clamping half-bridge circuit and the output half-bridge circuit. Furthermore, the switches of the two proposed circuits can be driven by half-bridge gate drivers and can be modularized.
