TyG index as a cardiovascular risk factor, with reference to anthropometry in first year medical students - A cross sectional study

Abstract: Triglyceride-Glucose (TyG) index is an independent predictor of cardiovascular risk in several pathological conditions such as T2DM, Metabolic syndrome (MetS), CVD, and CAD. Early studies which were done on TyG index focus on insulin resistance. High TGL level induces production of small density LDL particle.
