Abstract:Circulating neutrophil counts are reduced both in healthy autoantibody-positive individuals and in patients with type 1 diabetes, which may be related on cell-specific autoimmunity. This paper was written to give an update on roles of neutrophils in the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes mellitus.
