Type-Based Static and Dynamic Website Verification

Abstract: Abstract-Maintaining large websites and verifying their semantic content is a difficult task. In this paper we propose a framework for syntactic validation, semantic verification and automatic correction of websites based on the logic programming language XCentric. Here we purpose a new approach conciliating the highly declarative model of XCentric with compile and run time verification techniques, mainly based on type checking to automatically repair and audit websites. The result is an easy to follow model t… Show more

“…Coelho et al [9,10,11] use an extension of Prolog called XCentric to check and repair the syntactic and semantic properties for the content of XML-based Web sites. The XML Web document is translated into a temporary document that is composed of logical terms that correspond to the XML tags in the original document.…”

“…Different methods using partial rewriting based specification language for both syntactic and semantic checking were developed [2] [3] for the static applications. Researchers focus on the content of web sites by correcting and reforming the syntax and semantic [4] [5]. In this study, UML diagrams have been used for content testing of web application.…”

“…[CF07] proposes a framework for Web site verification which can be used at both compiletime and run-time, and is based on type verification of the rules that can be applied to the considered Web document. The base language is XCentric [CF04], which is a logic programming language.…”
