“…Since 2010, the global oil and gas industry has witnessed a surge in deep-water exploration efforts, marked by significant milestones, particularly in the exploration and development of deep-water turbidite sandstone oilfields. These fields have emerged as prominent targets worldwide, attracting considerable attention from exploration and production companies due to their immense hydrocarbon potential. Notably, regions such as Brazil, Mexico, and West Africa , have become focal points for the production of deep-water turbidite oilfields, capitalizing on their substantial offshore reserves and conducive geological conditions.…”

“…Notably, regions such as Brazil, Mexico, and West Africa , have become focal points for the production of deep-water turbidite oilfields, capitalizing on their substantial offshore reserves and conducive geological conditions. Through researching a large number of development cases of offshore oil fields, ,,, it has been found that conventional shallow-water–oil fields have low investment costs. The development strategy is to reduce the influence of reservoir factors by minimizing well spacing as much as possible, to achieve the best water drive sweep effect, generally ranging from 300m to 500m.…”
