The design of a Vinayak slotted rectangular microstrip patch antenna that offers a quad band resonance with significant characteristics to serve applications including radio determination, satellite, mobile, and space research is proposed. The design uses a 146 mm × 90 mm × 1.6 mm FR4 epoxy substrate and a coaxial feeding mechanism. The simulation software used is HFSS‐15 and the design has been analyzed for its standard parameters including the reflection coefficient, bandwidth, radiation pattern, gain, VSWR, directivity, and distribution of fields. The experimental and the measured values are in close agreement.
