Über einen nichtflüchtigen, polymeren Aluminiumwasserstoff (AlH 3 ) x und einige flüchtige Verbindungen des monomeren AlH 3

Abstract: Nr. 12/1942] S t e c h e r , W i b e r g . 2003 genomnien und der Rest der Sterine iiiit 1-proz. 'Qigitonin-Losung gefallt.

“…The latter species was synthesized from a reaction of LiAlH 4 and Me 3 N·HCl [27]. Alternatively, we tried a direct approach by the reaction of LH with a little excess LiAlH 4 , which proceeded smoothly in toluene at 80 °C for 12 h, and isolated LAlH 2 as crystalline solids in almost quantitative yield.…”

“…One of the earliest published reports on the synthesis of AlH 3 appeared in 1942 when Stecher and Wiberg prepared AlH 3 in an impure and low yield form, as an alane amine complex AlH 3 ·2N(CH 3 ) 3 [1]. A few years later in 1947 Finholt et al prepared an ethereal solution of aluminum hydride from a much simpler reaction between LiH (or LiAlH 4 ) and AlCl 3 in diethyl ether (Et 2 O) [2].…”

“…They achieve the noble gas configuration by polymerization generating larger structures. [2] In that context E. Wiberg refered to the ªnot well-known double-bond ruleº, which strictly speaking still holds for basic systems. [3] However, the introduction of substituents that were capable of kinetic and/or thermodynamic stabilization led already in the 1970s to many exceptions to this rule.…”
