Abstract: This entry gives the reader some understanding of ubuntu as a moral theory. It begins by providing the reader with a brief exposition of an African metaphysical system informing ubuntu. It proceeds to familiarize the reader with the metaethical debate regarding ethical naturalism and supernaturalism in relation to ubuntu.
