UDDI registry for Knowledge Discovery in Databases services

Abstract: The development of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) projects in collaborative and distributed environments requires facilities to search for, choose, set-up, compose and execute suitable data manipulation tools. This implies the necessity to explicitly represent and annotate different kinds of information about tools, data and their characteristics. In this framework, we are developing a serviceoriented support platform called Knowledge Discovery in Databases Virtual Mart. In this paper we discuss the de… Show more

“…For the publication, the Broker is responsible to store information about the service inside the UDDI registry, namely generic detail about the service and the publisher, and the eSAWSDL's URL. To go beyond UDDI limits we use some UDDI standard constructs to add specific eSAWSDL details such as which algo-rithm is implemented by the service and information about performance values (a preliminary version using an extended WSDL is presented in Diamantini et al (2007)).…”

“…Since Broker is available as a web service, its APIs can be called by any external tool such as the BrokerClient or the KDDDesigner introduced in the next subsection. Details about the adopted UDDI structure and Broker APIs are discussed in Diamantini et al (2007).…”
