A compact ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID tag with meander feed line and double T-match structure is proposed. The tag is composed of a copper layer at the upper and bottom side of a Rogers 5880 substrate, with the relative permittivity of 2.2 and a UCODE G2XM/G2XL chip from NXP Semiconductor. The tag with the overall dimension of 58 x 34 x 0.85 mm 3 is not sensitive to the objects it is attached to including metallic object since the performance of the tag in free air and on metal objects remains almost the same. The double T-matching technique is implemented in the antenna design to easily match the antenna and the chip impedance. The antenna is designed to operate in Malaysia frequency range (919 -923 MHZ). The performance of the tag is evaluated through simulation in terms of impedance matching, reflection coefficient and reading range.

-Constructions of meander slow-wave systems with additional shields grounded at different positions are presented. The construction of meander slow-wave systems with additional shields grounded at both edges is investigated in detail. The influence of the main constructive parameters on the electrical characteristics of meander slow-wave systems with additional shields grounded at both edges is evaluated. The main constructive parameters of the investigated system are: the length of the conductor, the width of meander conductor, the width of additional shield, and the width of the gap between adjacent meander conductors.Sonnet® software package, which is based on the method of moments, has been used during the investigation. The results of the influence of constructive parameters to the phase delay time, input impedance, and the width of pass-band of the system are discussed.

Disertacijoje sprendžiama papildomų ekranų įtakos meandrinių lėtinimo sistemų dažninėms savybėms įvertinimo problema. Pagrindiniai tyrimo objektaiplanariosios meandrinės lėtinimo sistemos (PMLS) su papildomais ekranais, jų modeliai ir analizės bei sintezės metodai. Darbo tikslas-ištirti PMLS su papildomais ekranais, sukurti naujus modelius ir jų tyrimo metodikas leidžiančias įvertinti lėtinimo sistemų kraštų bei galų efektus, sukurti tokių lėtinimo sistemų parametrinės sintezės metodiką. Darbe sprendžiami uždaviniai: elektrinio lauko meandrinėse lėtinimo sistemose trimačio pasiskirstymo modeliavimo metodikos kūrimas; PMLS su papildomais ekranais modelių kūrimas, taikant specializuotus programų paketus; PMLS su papildomais ekranais kraštų bei galų efektų įtakos sistemos dispersinėms savybėms ir įėjimo varžos priklausomybei nuo dažnio tyrimas; PMLS su papildomais ekranais parametrinės sintezės metodikos kūrimas. Disertaciją sudaro įvadas, keturi skyriai, bendrosios išvados, naudotos literatūros ir autoriaus publikacijų disertacijos tema sąrašai ir santrauka anglų kalba. Įvadiniame skyriuje formuluojama tiriamoji problema, aptariamas darbo aktualumas, aprašomas tyrimų objektas, formuluojamas darbo tikslas ir uždaviniai, aprašoma tyrimų metodika, darbo mokslinis naujumas, rezultatų praktinė reikšmė, ginamieji teiginiai. Įvado pabaigoje pristatomi pranešimai konferencijose disertacijos tema ir pateikiama disertacijos struktūra. Pirmame skyriuje pateikiama literatūros analizė, apžvelgiamos plačiajuosčių planariųjų lėtinimo sistemų konstrukcijos, jų taikymo sritys. Taip pat aptariami plačiajuosčių planariųjų lėtinimo sistemų tyrimams taikomi analitiniai ir skaitiniai metodai. Skyriaus pabaigoje formuluojami darbo tikslas ir uždaviniai. Antrame skyriuje pasiūlomi nauji meandrinių lėtinimo sistemų su papildomais ekranais kompiuteriniai modeliai, sukurti specializuotu programų paketu Sonnet ® ir momentų metodu grįsta elektrinio lauko meandrinėse lėtinimo sistemose trimačio pasiskirstymo modeliavimo metodika. Trečiame skyriuje pateikiami meandrinių lėtinimo sistemų su papildomais ekranais kompiuterinių modelių dažninių savybių ir elektrinio lauko meandrinėse lėtinimo sistemose trimačio pasiskirstymo tyrimo rezultatai. Ketvirtame skyriuje pasiūloma meandrinių lėtinimo sistemų su papildomais ekranais, įžemintais iš abiejų galų, parametrinės sintezės metodika ir ja remiantis sukuriamas parametrinės sintezės algoritmas. Disertacijos tema paskelbti 5 moksliniai straipsniai, iš kurių trys-mokslo žurnaluose, įtrauktuose į Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge duomenų bazę. Disertacijos tema perskaityti aštuoni pranešimai mokslinėse konferencijose.
