Abstract

Introduction. Today in Ukraine the development of military and sports all-round is quite rapid. Its disciplines such as combined martial and military and applied seven-around belong to the list of non-Olympic sports according to the Unified Sports Classification of Ukraine. At the same time, this sports are characterized by intense and spectacular competitive activities. At the same time, since 2007, Ukraine has been hosting the World Combined Martial Championships (were no held championships in 2014 and 2020), which is gaining more and more popularity among young people. Purpose: to identify the effectiveness of the Ukrainian athletes’ performances in military and sports all-round competitions in the section "combined martial". Research methods: analysis and generalization of literature and the Internet data, analysis of documentary materials, comparison. Results. Taking into account the results of the Ukrainian national team performances at the World Combined Martial Championships, it is worth noting its high level, in particular during the last decade. All this time, our athletes managed to win the vast majority of awards at these competitions in all age, weight and style (B-1 - B-6) categories, bringing the team to first place among 16-18 participating countries. The percentage of medals won in different years somewhat varied. In particular, out of the total number of gold awards, Ukrainians managed to win from 81 to 100%, silver - from 76 to 95% and bronze - from 44 to 85%. Conclusions. For a decade, the Ukrainian combined martial team has remained the best in the world, winning exclusively in the team event. This shows the high popularity of this kind of military and sports all-round in our country and, obviously, the high efficiency of training methods for athletes of all ages and genders in this sport.
