Abstract: This work describes a novel method for converting bismuth triiodide (BiI3) microplates into bismuth oxyiodide (BiOI) nanoflakes under ultrasonic irradiation. To produce BiOI nanoflakes with a high yield and high purity, the conversion process was carefully adjusted.
