Abstract:The ultrasonic heating rates of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) films are reported. For this measurement, we used an experimental set-up consisting of an ultrasonic vibrator, a horn, and a radiation thermometer. Because the horn did not touch the film surfaces, the temperature increase was only by the ultrasonic vibration transmitted from the horn. The highest and lowest temperature increase were recorded for the PET … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
