“…The resolution of ultrasonography has evolved with time, and now it has become an indispensable tool for the assessment of various posterior segment diseases. [1516] Thus, its utility in the evaluation of glaucoma cases cannot be underestimated. The utility of ultrasound is high in countries like ours where patients with advanced cataracts or anterior segment opacities are so common, this tool is often necessary to decipher the posterior segment pathology.…”

“…Therefore, differentiation of these conditions is necessary for management as well as for prognostication. [10,11] However, as we are aware, B scan ultrasonography is an indispensable tool for a quick and accurate diagnosis of various orbital and posterior segment diseases, [12] addition of continuous B scan guided imaging while draining subperiosteal hematomas will provide a realtime information of the needle track, its direction and the changes along the cavity throughout the observation. In addition to this, the other unique advantage of this technique is to avoid any inadvertent globe perforation and subsequent vision-threatening complications.…”

“…While point-of-care-ultrasound (POCUS) is frequently used in the emergency department (ED) to diagnose emergent ophthalmologic conditions such as vitreous hemorrhage, retinal detachment, lens dislocation, and retained intraocular foreign body, it is less commonly used to diagnose endophthalmitis, and there is limited literature regarding diagnostic capabilities in the ED for this condition. 1,2…”
