Ultrasonography in the diagnosis of lung abscess

Abstract: This case demonstrates the usefulness of lung ultrasound in the diagnosis of lung abscess, which showed a rounded hypoechoic image within a left basal consolidation in a critically ill patient requiring mechanical ventilation support.
