Ultrasound-guided carotid artery stenting through distal balloon protection

Abstract: Background and purpose: Carotid artery stenting (CAS) usually requires iodinated contrast medium; however, using iodinated contrast medium is difficult for patients with chronic kidney disease and iodine allergy.
