“…Takeuchi (1989) reported ring-shaped bodies in the nuclei of mouse two-cell embryos infected with virus, and a similar morphological configuration, that is, dense, ring-shaped bodies, was detected in nuclei of HeLa cells and was demonstrated to contain viral RNA (Puvion-Dutilleul and Puvion, 1991). On the contrary, there are already several reports of apparently morphologically akin intranuclear bodies in nuclei of normal early embryos of rat (Schuchner, 1970), rabbit (Longo, 19781, and pig (Tomanek et al, 1989). In the latter species, similar bodies have been detected in cytoplasm of early embryos (Tomanek et al, 1989;Hyttel and Niemann, 1990), which was suggested as being part of the communication between nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments.…”
