Abstract:The paper presents analysis of signals and planar monopole pulse antennas and antenna arrays designed for work in ultrawideband (UWB) frequency band 3.1-10.6GHz. A complex approach to design, synthesis and optimization of UWB antennas is proposed. Frequency and time characteristics of UWB signals, designed single and two-element antennas, results of experimental investigations and radiation of UWB signals by the antennas and antenna arrays are presented in the paper.
