Un estudio contrastivo de la onomatopeya y otros fonosimbolismos en japonés y en español

Abstract

This article focuses on the peculiarities of onomatopoeia in the Spanish and Japanese languages. We will analyse their respective characteristics, and also the implications for the theory of morphology. We will first analyse them in contrast with interjections from a semiological perspective. Subsequently, we will focus on Japanese mimetic onomatopoeia and their reduplicative tendency, more prevalent in Japanese than in Spanish, and we will determine that they acquire their categorical tag by the context and structure in which they are inserted, following the framework of the Distributed Morphology.
