Uncommon preputial localization of Langerhans cell histiocytosis

Abstract: We report a rare case of a 14-year-old boy with Langerhans cell histiocytosis localized to the prepuce. The patient was treated with a topical corticosteroid followed by imiquimod cream resulting in significant clinical improvement of the lesion. Although spontaneous remission is possible, the use of imiquimod may be an effective alternative therapy in cases of cutaneous Langerhans cell histiocytosis refractory to topical corticosteroids.
