Language learning, particularly vocabulary development, is crucial in mastering English as a foreign language. However, teaching vocabulary effectively can be challenging, and traditional methods like memorization may not always be engaging for students. The study aims to explore the impact of using popular online games, such as Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, League of Legends, and Minecraft on students' vocabulary mastery. A qualitative research design was employed, involving structured interviews and focus group discussions with eight students from a senior high school in Jakarta. The findings revealed that online games provided an immersive and enjoyable environment for vocabulary enrichment, offering both direct and indirect opportunities to encounter new words and phrases. The study demonstrated that online games could positively influence students' motivation and interest in learning English vocabulary, resulting in improvements in their language skills. It is then suggested that students should practice using English by utilizing online games relevant to the promotion of their English vocabulary mastery.

This study aims to explain the implementation, the advantages, and the challenges of using chatbot applications for learning writing. It was a qualitative research method. For collecting the data, the writers used questionnaires, observation, and documentation techniques. The research participants were 35 students of the English Education Department of Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kudus, Indonesia. The documentation of their chat with Anima was observed. The results showed that (1) the implementation of Anima Chatbot in class was under the lecturer's guidance;(2) the advantages of Anima are finding the idea for speaking, learning vocabulary and grammar; saving time, and increasing their activeness; (3) and the students' challenges when they used Anima chatbot are the lack of vocabularies, grammar mastery, and the duration because the chatbot can response the chat so fast. The students are expected to be intensive to use Anima chatbot so that they can get more idea for supporting their spoken communication.

Evaluasi non-tes, atau evaluasi formatif, memiliki peran krusial dalam pengembangan pendidikan, menilai kemajuan siswa di luar aspek akademis. Metode ini memungkinkan penilaian holistik terhadap keterampilan sosial, kepribadian, dan bakat siswa. Keunggulan utamanya terletak pada identifikasi keterampilan sosial dan kepribadian, kunci keberhasilan dalam masyarakat kompleks saat ini. Evaluasi ini juga memberikan guru peluang untuk memberikan umpan balik mendalam dan mendukung pendekatan pembelajaran yang responsif. Namun, penelitian ini menyoroti kendala dalam implementasi evaluasi non-tes di MAN 2 Surakarta, terutama pada pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran PAI. Guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan instrumen non-tes, kurangnya pengembangan teknik evaluasi, dan perhatian yang masih lebih besar pada instrumen tes. Observasi menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi non-tes belum mendapatkan perhatian yang memadai, menghasilkan hambatan teknis, fokus pada penilaian sikap, kendala waktu, dan kurangnya keterampilan guru. Solusi yang diusulkan guru melibatkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru melalui sosialisasi, pengembangan soft skill siswa, dan manajemen waktu yang lebih baik. Kesimpulannya, evaluasi non-tes diidentifikasi sebagai tantangan utama yang dapat diatasi dengan upaya peningkatan keterampilan guru dan manajemen pendidikan yang lebih efisien. Seiring dengan itu, penerapan evaluasi non-tes di MAN 2 Surakarta memberikan gambaran tentang pentingnya evaluasi, variasi instrumen yang digunakan, dan peran guru dalam memastikan evaluasi mencakup aspek hasil dan proses belajar siswa.
