Background. The Shariah hospital aims to provide health services inclusive of the appropriate code of ethics of Sharia, which exceeds the standard of service expected of conservative hospitals. Hospital care depends on the performance of health professionals. The study aimed to assess the relationship between the implementation of the ethical code of Shariah hospitals and the performance of health personnel. Methods. The study is a quantitative analysis that collects cross-sectional data from 119 health personnel respondents in one Shariah hospital in Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling (SEM). Results. The implementation of the ethical code of Shariah hospitals, whether explicit or implicit, has a significantly positive influence on the performance and well-being of health personnel, which is evident from the t value of 4.31 (more substantial than the t value of 1.960). This implementation should run consistently and with the commitment of all parties. Conclusion. Such insight, in turn, can be counted as an input to an approach to health services, particularly in increasing the performance rates in hospital. This study is the first to provide new insight into discussion about Shariah hospital’s code of conduct by presenting its beneficiary to not only improve health personnels’ performance but also provide the inclusive health service for all religions and cultures which is essential in further study.

Introduction: Patient safety is a condition where there is no danger that threatens the patient during the patient care process and the risk of harm is reduced. Infection prevention and control in inpatient units is a challenge because there are so many Adverse Events that occur in them. Objective: To Determine the factors that influence or hinder the implementation of the fifth patient safety goals in inpatient unit. Method: Using the literature review method. Article searches were carried out through the Garuda Portal database and Google Scholar using the keywords patient safety, patient safety goals, inpatient units. In total, 5 research results obtained articles that met the inclusion criteria. Result: Based on the results of a review of 5 articles showing that several factors that influence or hinder the implementation of the fifth patient safety goals inpatient unit are age, knowledge, work environment, and supervision, as well as attitudes and motivation of health workers. Conclusion: Factors that influence the implementation of the fifth patient safety goals in inpatient unit are influenced by 3 important factors: individual factors, organizational factors, and psychological factors.

Background: The implementation of a good patient safety system in the hospital aims to minimize and prevent patient safety incidents. The patient safety goals is a system that aims to encourage specific improvements in patient safety. Patient safety goals are actions that must be taken by the hospital to prevent patient safety incidents that can harm patients and the hospital. Purpose: Writing this review article aims to provide an overview of the implementation of patient safety goals in hospitals in Indonesia.Methods: The method used in this article is a literature review. Article searches were conducted through Google Scholar and Portal Garuda with the keywords "patient safety goals", "hospitals", and "Indonesia". Results: The total findings of the articles were 738, but only 11 articles matched the inclusion criteria. Based on 11 articles analyzed, only 2 articles showed that the implementation of all points in the patient safety goals in the hospital had reached the target and were in accordance with the standard. Conclusion: Low compliance of officers, unsupportive facilities and infrastructure, and low management commitment are some of the factors that have not yet optimalized the implementation of patient safety goals in the hospital. Therefore, it is necessary to improve technical assistance, supervision, and support for adequate facilities and infrastructure.Keywords: patient safety goals, patient safety incidents, hospital.
