“…literatura netko samopouzdan, tada zna kuda i kako želi ići. Osim toga, ista su djeca sposobnija kontrolirati agresivnost te upravljati intenzivnim osjećajima te također imaju veće društvene sposobnosti 33 . Temeljeći se na navedenim istraživanjima te navedenim mislima, zaključujemo kako otac ima vrlo važnu ulogu u tome hoće li se dijete bojati ili će željeti ići prema budućnosti, imati povjerenja u ono što ga još na putu čeka.…”

“…These two variables complement one another: Involvement represents a key instrumental component of child care, warmth a major emotional component. They were selected for study in light of extensive research evidence showing the positive impacts of paternal warmth and affection on children's development (e.g., Webster, Low, Siller, & Hackett, 2013;Khaleque & Rohner, 2012). These impacts include: improved social outcomes (e.g., Webster et al, 2013) and school adjustment and achievement (e.g., Sterling Honig, 2008); reduced behavior problems in adolescence (Veneziano, 2003); and better coping with the tasks of this age (e.g., Leidy, 2011).…”

Conversely, studies show that paternal absence may be a crucial predictor of adolescent delinquency (Rohner & Veneziano, 2001) and substance abuse (Campo & Rohner, 1992), and difficulties in psychological adjustment in adulthood (Khaleque & Rohner, 2012).…”

“…There is a large body of research linking father's engagement with their children to positive child outcomes (Boyd, Ashcraft, & Belgrave, 2006;Byrd-Craven, Auer, Granger, & Massey, 2012;Coley, 2003;Webster, Low, Siller, & Hackett, 2013). However, fatherhood research has been critiqued for the relative inattention to differences in parenting for fathers based on race/ethnicity (Cabrera, West, Shannon, & Brooks-Gunn, 2006).…”
