Besides domestic teaching duties, he was one of four main lecturers for international courses on forest tree gene conservation organized by EUFORGEN and the Federal Forest Research Centre in Austria, and has been an invited guest lecturer in most western European countries as well as Canada, China, Japan, and the USA.
