Ungrounded composite right-/left-handed metamaterials: design, synthesis and applications

Abstract: The design of ungrounded meander line inductors (UMIs) and ungrounded interdigital capacitors (UICs) employed in the practical realisation of a planar ungrounded composite right-/left-handed (UCRLH) metamaterial is presented.
