Uniaxial tensile viscoelastic and viscoplastic behaviour of Nylon 12 at constant strain rate

Abstract: Tensile tests with constant crosshead speeds ranging from 5 to 200 mm min 21 were performed on Nylon 12 in the temperature range, 25 to 140uC. A modified form of the constitutive equations derived by Drozdov and Yuan were used to describe the time dependant response of Nylon 12 at isothermal deformation and small strains.
