Abstract:In this work the dynamics of particle removal by aerosol spray is investigated. Local dwell time of spray cleaning is calculated numerically from the process conditions, and some striking topological similarities between the particle removal efficiency and dwell time profiles are observed. The particle removal rates, defined as the normalized speed of particle removal, are not constant during a typical process, with the highest removal rate for the first tens of milliseconds and a temporal decay as time elapse… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
