Abstract: Bartonella henselae is a Gram-negative bacillus, mainly parasitizing on cats. When a child is scratched by a cat, they may present with the disease symptoms including regional lymphadenopathy, malaise, fever, and splenomegaly, which is known as cat-scratch disease (CSD).
