Unilateral Hydrothorax Complicating Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis: Demonstration by 99m‐Technetmm‐Tin‐CoHoid Scintigraphy

Abstract: SUMMARY Unilateral hydrothorax is a rare but increasingly described complication of CAPD. Anatomical integrity of the diaphragm should be ascertained to determine the plan of future management. Radionuclide scintigraphy using 99m‐Technetium‐tin‐colloid is a simple, safe, non‐invasive technique in demonstrating transdiaphragmatic leakage of dialysate during CAPD. It takes relatively a little of patient's time with no discomfort.
