Abstract:Background. This study aimed to establish whether histology tonsillectomy is justified for unilateral tonsil enlargement. Methods. A retrospective review was conducted of histology tonsillectomies in three health organisations over five years, with strict exclusion criteria, focusing on benign-appearing unilateral tonsil enlargement.
