The novel hybrid compounds Pb 2 Cu(O 2 C-CH 2 -NH 2 ) 2 X 4 (X = Br, Cl) were prepared and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. TA analysis and DSC measurements show that the compounds are stable up to 200°C. As in hybrid perovskites, their layered structures are based on metal(II) halide 2D frameworks, which are here covalently linked by trans-Cu(Gly) 2 flat SBUs. These rigid pillars are able to ac-
