In this paper, we extend the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) to non black hole objects, and test its validity for the Buchdahl star. It turns out that extremal limit for star is over-extremal for black hole, Q 2 /M 2 ≤ 9/8. By carrying out both linear and non-linear perturbations, we establish the same result, as that for black hole, for the Buchdahl star as well. That is, it could be overcharged at the linear perturbation while the result is overturned when non-linear perturbations are included.
