Abstract: Background: Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare inherited bone marrow failure syndrome (IBMFS) marked by erythroid hypoplasia, reticulocytopenia and macrocytosis, and associated with congenital malformations and an increased risk of developing malignancies.
