Untersuchungen über den Mechanismus der Reaktion von Aromaten mit Marquis Reagens

Abstract: Anhand der Umsetzung von 2,3,5,6‐Tetramethyl‐N, N‐dimethylbenzylamin (I), Methoxydurol (II) und Durenol (III) mit Marquis Reagens wird nachgewiesen, daß allein Carboniumionen für die Farbbildung verantwortlich sind. Dies geschieht direkt durch Strukturaufklärung der Carboniumionen mit Hilfe von Tieftemperaturkernresonanzspektroskopie wie auch chemisch durch Isolierung definierter Reaktionsprodukte. Die Spezifität des Reaktionstyps bei Phenolen wird kurz umrissen.
