Untreated Bacteriuria in Asymptomatic Girls With Renal Scarring

Abstract: Recurrences of bacteriuria after treatment occur in 50% to 80% of asymptomatic patients. Previous experience with short-term treatment as well as longterm prophylaxis has been disappointing, with a significant risk of infections, ie, development of symptoms after treatment.
