Abstract:Acute abdominal pain is not a frequent presentation in the emergency department in patients on maintenance hemodialysis (HD). Common causes of acute abdomen in these patients are bowel infarction, pancreatitis, and peritonitis. Splenic infarction presenting as acute abdomen is a rare entity.
