Unusual SMG suspects recruit degradation enzymes in nonsense‐mediated mRNA decay

Abstract: Degradation of eukaryotic RNAs that contain premature termination codons (PTC) during nonsense‐mediated mRNA decay (NMD) is initiated by RNA decapping or endonucleolytic cleavage driven by conserved factors.
