Unveiling Anoikis‐related genes: A breakthrough in the prognosis of bladder cancer

Shen Jiang,
Xiping Yang,
Yang Lin
et al.

Abstract: BackgroundBladder cancer (BLCA) is a prevalent malignancy worldwide. Anoikis remains a new form of cell death. It is necessary to explore Anoikis‐related genes in the prognosis of BLCA.MethodsWe obtained RNA expression profiles from the The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus databases for dimensionality reduction analysis and isolated epithelial cells, T cells and fibroblasts for copy number variation analysis, pseudotime analysis and transcription factor analysis based on R package. We int… Show more

“…However, this study is not without limitations. The reliance on TCGA data, with its scarce normal samples, introduces potential biases ( 73 ), and the six hub genes identified may not cover all genes associated with SKCM survival ( 74 ). Furthermore, our conclusions are primarily drawn from bioinformatic analyses and require validation through experimental studies and prospective cohorts to confirm these genes’ roles in SKCM pathogenesis and their therapeutic potential.…”

“…Single-cell genomics offers a novel approach to investigate the tumor immune microenvironment by conducting genomic analysis at the single-cell level. An increasing number of studies are utilizing this method to gain valuable insights ( 48 50 ). The correlation between CCNA2 and monocytes was examined using data from the TISCH2 websites.…”

“…Drug resistance remains one of the greatest obstacles to successful cancer therapy ( 62 , 63 ). Due to tumor heterogeneity, the molecular expression patterns vary among cancer patients ( 64 66 ), leading to significant differences in responses to anti-cancer treatments ( 67 , 68 ). Based on cuproptosis-SPGs, we stratified osteosarcoma patients into high-risk and low-risk groups.…”
