Abstract: Thermoelectricity offers an efficient means of converting heat directly into electricity without greenhouse gas emissions. Recently, the hexagonal γ-GeSe phase and a new class of monolayers called Janus have been synthesized, exhibiting exceptional thermoelectric properties.
