Abstract:The Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RCS) in the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is a high-intensity proton accelerator that is susceptible to collective instabilities and performance limitations due to its impedance. With impedance study of key components and new component installations, the impedance model should be updated. This article presents a comprehensive estimate of the coupling impedance and outlines the impedance model of the RCS.
