Abstract:This study used transesterification-isomerisation processes to synthesise biodiesel from non-edible vegetable oils, specifically jatropha oil and palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD). To facilitate the separation of products, both were conducted in a batch reactor with a solid acid catalyst.
