Upper Cretaceous planktonic foraminiferal biostratigraphy of the Zagros Basin (West Iran) with reference to sea-level changes

Abstract: In this study, an Upper Cretaceous sedimentary sequence in the Anaran Anticline (located in the central Zagros) is investigated to assess planktonic foraminiferal biozonations and implications for sea level changes. The thickness of this sequence is about 215 m, characterized by shales and limestones with thin marly limestone intercalations.
