“…Most studies have focused on the Basin's tectonics, structural development, and stratigraphy but failed to detail the evolution of the sedimentary environments, with a few exceptions (Arbe and Hechem, 1984;Macellari et al, 1989;Kraemer, 2003;Marenssi et al, 2003), and no detailed sedimentological study of the paleogene deposits exists.
