Uranium Recovery From Aluminum Alloyed Fuel at Icpp During Fiscal Year 1966.

Abstract: Highly enriched uranium-aluminum alloyed fuels containing 426.6 kg of uranium were processed at the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant during fiscal year 1966 using a continuous nitric acid dissolution step followed by one tributyl phosphate and three Hexone extraction.cyc1es. The uranium recovery was 99.74%, and the overall fission product decontamination was excellent. Gelatin was added (0
