Urban expansion - Urban shrinking considerations on Braşov agglomeration urban dynamics

Abstract: The study of the vision of spatial development at different scales can often suggest different solutions, due to the different priorities imposed by the distinct territorial governance levels. “…During the post-socialist era, in Central and Eastern Europe, due to the chaotic land restitution, the suburban sprawl intensified, leading to negative effects, such as isolation, residential segregation [ 49 ] and decreased quality of life caused by the lack of access to proper public service infrastructure [ 50 ].
