Urban Vegetation: Anthropogenic Influences, Public Perceptions, and Wildlife Implications

Abstract

This chapter will include sections on urban vegetation, urban wildlife, and implications for humans living in urban systems. We would like to include topics on the relationships of humans to urban vegetation, production systems, and factors affecting change. It is also important to include challenges we face in urban vegetation. In the urban wildlife section we would include urban vegetation and its impact on wildlife as well as associations with plant species and impacts on habitats. And in the last section we would include human issues and the impacts of gardens on cities/urban greening, public perceptions and media influences, and human impacts on plants and wildlife and the implications thereof.
